The FCF team attended a Quiz night, at a local hotel, in aid of Julia’s House, their chosen local charity.

It was an uplifting evening, coming together with other local businesses in a combined effort to raise money and make a huge difference to the charity. An amazing £5,864 was raised after the organiser ‘Gallaghers’ matched the original total.

Julia’s House is a children’s hospice, based in our local area, which cares for children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. The majority of the children who are cared for by Julia’s House are unlikely to live past the age of 18. The hospice provides care for the children and respite for the families.

David and Niki from FCF have both visited the Hospice, as the company has been fundraising for them for the last few years, and they have described it as a very humbling and wonderful place. Staggeringly, only 8% of the cost to run and maintain the Hospice is government funded - The rest is raised through charity work and donations.

David Mogg, Managing Director, First Capital Finance – “We were delighted to take time out to support our fantastic, nominated charity, Julia’s House, along with several other like-minded businesses who support this worthy cause. It was a fantastic evening with several thousand pounds raised. If, as a business, you would like to support this charity then you may wish to consider joining Julia’s House Business Club and the many events they put on.”

Niki Rogers, Sales & Marketing Coordinator, First Capital Finance – “We, as a team, are incredibly proud to support Julia’s House and the wonderful work that they do. A wonderful charity supporting children and their families, in our local community, that need it most.”

Caroline Attreed, Corporate Fundraiser, Julia’s House - "The quiz night organised by Gallagher was such a fun event, and we’re really grateful to First Capital Finance for attending and supporting it. As part of the Julia’s House Business Club their monthly contributions allow us to continue our vital lifeline of care to the families and children who need us the most. We’d like to say huge thank you to everyone at First Capital Finance for this valued, ongoing support.”
